At Easter we celebrate the beauty and life resulting from Jesus’ painful work on the Cross. He endured tremendous agony to carry the sin burden of us all, yet on the other side is abiding love and wonder. We get to experience a fullness of life that simply cannot be replaced by any work of man, no matter how great.
Here at Easter, I pray that you yield your very life to Him so that you can experience the utter wonder and joy of His fullness in your life.
For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. John 1: 16-17(NASV)
Fullness Now We Can Receive
When life ran short I climbed the hill
To seek the things I thought would fill
But sudden did I realize
My heart was still without the prize
Yet fullness have we all received
No way to grasp what He’s conceived
For good toward us all the time
And given out as olden wine
He fills the space where sin resides
When I look up to see The prize
A body on a wooden cross
And then my heart reveals its dross
This prize that will so ‘er sustain
It covers me like golden rain
And fills me up beyond the brim
And makes my heart to sing Your hymn
Abundant life I now live out
A heart alive, no more in drought
Filled with love and more today
His fullness seen in every way
